Business Details

O'Neill Golden Age Senior Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing education, recreation, and health-related services with an emphasis on the total well-being of all person over age 60 in our community. A Caregiver's Support Group has been sponsored by the center since 2003.

Noon meals are served five days per week at the center plus the six meals-on-wheels routes, 1 to Chambers, 1 to Inman, and 4 in O'Neill. Volunteers provide the transportation. The weekly menu is published in the Holt County Independent and is broadcast daily on KBRX radio. A telephone call to the center at (402) 336-4338, preferably before 9:00 AM would assure you a meal that day. The suggested donation is &4.75 for those 60 and over and $7.00 for those under 60.

A monthly gazette lists the menu for the month, birthdays or 'our people' and tips for Caregivers as well as updates about special events. Call the center if you care to receive this gazette.

The governing board meets every third Thursday with manager Terra Buller. Those presently serving on the board are Dorine Cambell, Dian Edwards, Lois Fitch, Rachel Gutshall, Norma Moreland, Jane Reiman, John Ryding, Peg Sidak, and Don Tejral. Members are elected for 3 year terms and may serve two terms before having to take a year off before they can be elected again.

The Senior Center invites anyone to come and join us for lunch! We serve delicious balanced meals for everyone to enjoy! Just call the Senior Center at (402) 336-4338 to let them know you are coming.
